"Operating a small business as well as being a full time student has taught me some very rewarding lessons that have given me a great advantage in daily life."Founded in October 2002 by then 14 year old high school freshman Zach Vruwink in the basement of his parents home. He started by first assisting family and friends with their technological needs. After about 8 months Zach realized that he was fulfilling niche and the community had a need for his services. On July 1st, 2003 Zach opened a retail store in downtown Wisconsin Rapids with only $500!
It was after 1 month in business that he fully realized its potential and understood what was intended to be a store dedicated to service and attempt to operate it while he attended his sophomore year at Lincoln High school.
After some media attention was when many people were made aware of his assets in understanding their technological needs.
"It was this personal, specialized approach to each customer that I realize how enjoyable it was to me."Whether it was purchasing a new computer or fixing their current system, Zach was there to help!! He operated under short hours of 3:00pm to 6:00pm during the school year and 10:30am to 6:00pm during the summer for 3 years.
After his 2006 graduation from high school, Zach decided to hire additional employees to operate the store while he attended college at the University Wisconsin-Stevens Point.
Currently Zach's is open Monday thru Friday from 9:30am to 6:00pm and 10:30am to 3:00pm Saturdays.
